The Al-Andalusia Islamic University of Spain and the Al-Andalusia Higher Institute of Islamic Sciences of Spain offer their students two campus modalities to facilitate a complete educational experience adapted to their needs: the on-site campus, known as La Alqueria, and the virtual campus.

Campus Presencial: La Alquería Andalusí

La Alquería Andalusí (or the Cortijo) is an Andalusian estate with more than 115 years of history, located in an old farmhouse where Muslim communities resided during the time of Al-Andalus. It stands as a living link with our illustrious past, as its architecture and location evoke the essence of the Andalusian legacy. Built around a central courtyard -a distinctive feature of traditional buildings in the region- La Alquería combines tradition and charm in each of its halls and rooms, providing a unique experience for both learning and research.

Today, this historic enclave is home to an on-campus campus that is ideal for the academic and training needs of our students. The spacious classrooms, capable of accommodating more than 700 students, and the residential areas, prepared to accommodate more than 180 people, provide La Alqueria with a versatile and functional infrastructure. The campus is also equipped with two large-capacity kitchens, a laundry and a mosque with its own minaret, thus satisfying all the logistical and spiritual requirements demanded by our institutions.

In addition to its historical and cultural value, La Alquería Andalusí is emerging as a future benchmark of sustainability and ecology. Its nearly 18 hectares of land provide the opportunity to resume agricultural and botanical practices typical of the Andalusian tradition, paving the way to consolidate as the first Islamic eco-university in the region. In this sense, the long-term project contemplates the implementation of orchards and crops that honor our Andalusian roots and, at the same time, promote research and environmental preservation.

On the other hand, the intellectual heritage also finds its space in this historic estate, since in its facilities will be located areas for the Library of the Andalusian Studies Center, promoting research and dissemination of cultural heritage. In this way, La Alquería is not only a place for the practical and theoretical training of students, but also an epicenter for the study and preservation of the Andalusian heritage, providing an environment conducive to the development of projects that combine the glorious past of Al-Andalus with the challenges and opportunities of the present.

In short, La Alquería Andalusí is a privileged setting for the Al-Andalusia Islamic University of Spain and the Al-Andalusia Higher Institute of Islamic Sciences of Spain, as it combines the charm of traditional architecture with a vision of the future focused on sustainability, educational excellence and research into the historical heritage that unites us.

Virtual Campus

In line with the international projection vocation of our institutions, the virtual campus offers the possibility of accessing Islamic training from anywhere in the world. Through this platform, live classes and recordings are available 24 hours a day, allowing each student to manage his or her own learning pace. With an interactive environment and constant communication with teachers and the rest of the community, the virtual campus has become an essential tool for those who wish to combine their studies with family or professional life.

This virtual modality is reinforced by Al-Andalusia's pedagogical approach, which encourages active participation in forums, study groups and tutoring sessions. In this way, the online learning experience maintains the level of quality and proximity typical of the educational model of our institutions.

Both La Alquería Andalusí and the virtual campus represent the commitment of the Al-Andalusia Islamic University of Spain and the Al-Andalusia Higher Institute of Islamic Sciences of Spain to academic excellence and accessibility. Combining tradition and modernity, these training spaces seek to ensure that each student receives a comprehensive, enriching experience adapted to his or her reality, thus becoming authentic references in the teaching of Islamic sciences.
