Al-Andalusia Islamic University of Spain is looking for a Director of Digital Platforms to lead the management, optimization and scalability of our educational technology infrastructure. This position is key to ensuring that our digital systems operate in an efficient, secure and scalable manner.

Requirements

Experience and technical skills:

  • Demonstrable experience managing WordPress sites (minimum 2-3 years), preferably with themes such as Avada or visual builders.
  • Ability to solve technical problems autonomously through research and trial-and-error Experience setting up payment gateways (Stripe, PayPal) and subscription systems
  • Familiarity with hosting management, DNS, domains and basic server administration concepts
  • Working knowledge of LMS systems, especially LearnDash (or experience with similar platforms such as Moodle, Teachable, etc.)

The following are especially valued

  • Experience working with educational institutions or non-profit organizations.
  • Knowledge of automation tools (Zapier, Make, etc.)
  • Familiarity with Google Workspace, project management tools (Trello, Asana, Notion)
  • Experience with web analytics (Google Analytics, Search Console)
  • Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS/PHP for minor customizations
  • Sensitivity to Islamic values and Al-Andalusia's mission.

We don't need someone who knows everything from day one, but we do need someone who demonstrates quick learning ability, initiative and commitment to technical excellence.

Do I need to have previous experience with LearnDash specifically?

It is not essential. If you have experience with other LMS or demonstrate the ability to learn new systems quickly, it is sufficient.

Can I work 100% remote?

Yes, we consider remote candidates. Preference for people in Spain due to time zone and possible occasional face-to-face meetings.
