Recognition of our Bachelor’s Degree
Recognition of our Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Sciences and Theology by the International Islamic University Malaysia, enabling our students to pursue their Master’s and Doctoral studies at the University, and the initiation of collaboration for other projects.
For the first time, a Spanish Islamic institution has achieved such a special recognition, which helps us promote advanced Islamic studies more effectively, ensuring professionalism, commitment, and a promising future vision.

First Graduation of Certified Islamic Teachers
The graduation of the first teachers of Islamic Education and Religion was a historic moment not only for the Al-Andalusia Higher Institute, but also for the Spanish-speaking Muslim community in Spain and Latin American countries.
These graduates, hailing from various cities and countries, will proceed to the second cycle of the Bachelor’s Degree in Islamic Sciences and Theology, aiming to become the first imams and murshidat trained in both Arabic and Spanish.

Professionalism and Integrity
Currently, we have over 450 registered students from 19 different countries. Approximately 40 of them are enrolled in the bachelor’s degree program, while the rest are either completing the pre-degree course or taking individual subjects.
About a quarter of our students have embraced Islam.
Just this year, we have conducted over 1200 live classes for our students, providing quality education where all our students have direct access to highly committed teachers dedicated to the progress and advancement of our students.

Dawah Training in South America
We have offered in-person Dawah courses in Ecuador, Peru, and Colombia. In addition to the courses provided, followed by the practical application of the knowledge gained and the Shahadas witnessed during our travels, we have established working relationships to enhance Islamic education in the mentioned countries.
The most ambitious project we are working on, in collaboration with the Latin American Muslim community, is the establishment of an Islamic school in Colombia, open to both Muslim and non-Muslim communities.

Our Second Center, a Masjid and a Community Center
Seville is a historic and emblematic city, once one of the most important cities during the time of Al-Andalus. Its central mosque boasted the tallest minaret in the Muslim world for a time.
After many years, the Muslim community is once again becoming an integral part of Sevillian society, and its presence continues to grow.
In Seville, we have several mosques that were once repurposed from other buildings to serve as places of worship. However, until now, we have not succeeded in building a mosque that fully meets the needs of the Muslim community.
The project of the Mosque and Community Center of the Al-Andalusia Institute seeks to be an inspiration for other mosques in Spain and to improve the current situation of the Muslim community in Seville.

Our Second Center, a Masjid and a Community Center
We have purchased the location for the first mosque managed by the Al-Andalusia Higher Institute and we need funding to adapt the space to begin its use.
The location is in a neighborhood where the Muslim community has been growing significantly, yet there is currently no mosque available.
In addition to the prayer area, the center will offer a space for organizing events, conferences, and classes with a capacity for approximately 700 people. It will also include a place for youth to gather and engage in sports and other activities in a healthy and protected environment, as well as a studio for recording content that will benefit the Spanish-speaking Muslim community worldwide.

Empowering leaders
Recently, we have established a national platform to implement the changes that our community needs to progress. Areas such as education, Dawah, youth associative work, and mosque management are being addressed. Our students and faculty members are currently chosen to lead the different mentioned areas.
We are honored to have students who are leaders in their organizations and associations, leading positive change in their fields and creating a networking environment that benefits the Muslim community and society as a whole.
Our student gatherings serve as meeting points to achieve the necessary objectives for the progress of the Muslim community, working on the Islamic identity that unites us and celebrating our ethnic and cultural diversity.

Paving the Way
We have prepared the first manual for Islamic schools based on the Al-Andalusia Curriculum for early childhood, primary, and secondary education.
The manual serves as a guide, detailing the necessary process and how to establish a professional and quality education system that meets all the needs of the Muslim community.
It is the first guide of its kind to be published and will mark a significant change in the progress of Islamic education in Spain and Latin America.

Masjid & Community Center

Annual Budget
Our annual budget only allows us to cover the salaries of two full-time employees working for the Institute, while all other staff members are part-time. Despite this limitation, we have managed to achieve significant objectives.
If we had the opportunity to expand our team, we could accomplish many more goals much more effectively.
Last year, the fees from our students only managed to cover around 40% of the annual expenses for our educational projects.

Annual Budget
The basic budget for the upcoming academic year is €120,000. The more we can raise, the more employees we can hire, allowing us to expand and improve our work.
With just 40 people contributing €3,000 each, we can cover our basic needs and use the funds from student fees to grow and advance our projects.

Scholarships
Last year, we offered 18 scholarships to students from 8 different countries, including Colombia, Peru, Puerto Rico, Argentina, Cuba, Mexico, South Africa, Algeria, and Spain.
This year, we aim to offer 50 scholarships and reach students from all Latin American countries.
The scholarship to cover the full tuition of a student for one academic year is €690.

Scholarships and Support
One of our most important projects is to provide scholarships and financial support to students from Latin America who, while studying, are actively working for the community by engaging in Dawah activities and teaching children and adults.
For this campaign, we accept Zakat contributions.
To provide a scholarship for a student Da’i (someone who engages in Dawah activities) for an entire year, the cost is €3,500.

Dawah Missions to Latinamerica

This year, we aim to raise €10,000 to carry out these missions of Dawah and Islamic education.

Student Apartments
Currently, we are unable to accommodate our students from Spain in our facilities. Therefore, we want to start offering student apartments so they can focus entirely on their studies.
The cost of rent, water, electricity, and furnishing a six-student apartment is €14,000 per year.
